In the Product Security Team at JetBrains, we are exploring and experimenting with AI/LLM tools to support the day-to-day work of security engineers. These tools help us increase coverage and quality when assessing the security of JetBrains products. They streamline our workflows and automate routine tasks, including code change analysis, correlating and explaining findings from other security tools, and suggesting code fixes and security guidelines.

We are at the beginning of our AI journey. Since AI will shape how work is done in the future, we want to research how it can be applied to our work today.

As our intern, you will work on features like:

• Automatic validation of a fix for a vulnerability

• Using AI/LLMs to confirm or mark as false positives the findings reported by static tools

• An AI agent for deep exploration of vulnerabilities in source code

• Automatic triage of reported vulnerabilities and suggested fixes

• Improvements to existing AI/LLM flows

• Python/Go programming skills

• Experience using and integrating AI/LLM

• General understanding of cybersecurity and common threats
