Event Management Intern

The Event Management Team at JetBrains plays a pivotal role in showcasing our company and its amazing developer tools to the IT industry worldwide. From arranging JetBrains' presence at third-party conferences to organizing our own conferences, online events, livestreams, and meetups, we strive to reach and engage developers globally through impactful events. As part of the Marketing Department, our work helps raise awareness and build deeper connections within the IT community.

We’re looking for an Event Management Intern who will assist senior event managers across a variety of event projects. This hands-on internship offers a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of planning and executing successful events by collaborating with internal teams and external partners. It will be particularly focused on event merchandise logistics, conference sponsorship support, livestream setups, and managing the team’s issue tracker.

You’ll work closely with teams including Product Marketing, Branded Merchandise, Design, Travel, Procurement, and more, building valuable project management and marketing skills that will serve you well in your future career.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with merchandise management for external conferences, including researching and selecting relevant items.

  • Help finalize sponsorship agreements, including tracking contracts and ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Support livestream setup and coordination for JetBrains-hosted events.

  • Manage the Event Management team’s issue tracker to ensure all tasks are well-organized.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth planning and implementation of events.

  • Learn from and assist senior event managers on all aspects of event coordination.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to learn quickly.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized in managing multiple tasks.

  • Solid time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude and a willingness to take initiative.

  • Experience in event organization (volunteer or other) is a plus, but not required.

  • Familiarity with modern productivity and collaboration tools (Google Workspace, project management tools like YouTrack or Jira, etc.) is a bonus.
