Please note that the internship is on-site in the Prague office.
This internship focuses on strengthening Rider’s integration with the Godot game engine through hands-on software engineering. The intern will contribute to Rider–Godot features such as GDScript language support, debugging, and project synchronization, while also helping to maintain and evolve the existing integration test plan. Alongside development, the intern may gain exposure to Product Management by gathering feedback from Godot developers, identifying workflow pain points, and drafting small improvement proposals. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine engineering contributions with product thinking in the context of developer tools.
Last year student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Familiarity with Godot (using either GDScript or C#) and understanding of common game development workflows.
Solid programming skills in Kotlin/Java and C# (experience with IntelliJ Platform plugins is a plus).
Basic knowledge of language tooling (parsers, syntax highlighting, refactoring, or debugging).
Interest in product management aspects such as user research, backlog shaping, or documentation.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills in English.
An active curiosity, willingness to engage with developer communities, and readiness to experiment with creating educational content (posts, tutorials, or short videos) will be highly valued.
