Educational Engagements Operations & AI Automation

Description

This internship project is part of the Professional Services: Education direction at JetBrains. The goal of the project is to help scale our educational offerings by improving how we manage customer engagements and by introducing automation (including AI-assisted automation) into our processes.

The project combines hands-on project management experience with process optimization and AI experimentation.

You will contribute in two main areas:

1. Supporting educational customer engagements. You will work closely with the Education lead to support real customer engagements across the full lifecycle:

  • Pre-sales communication (initial responses, discovery coordination)

  • Post-sales delivery support (scheduling, follow-ups, etc.)

  • Maintaining engagement documentation and logs

  • Improving and expanding the engagement playbook based on real cases

  • Creating reusable assets (canned responses, templates, checklists)

This provides exposure to how Professional Services works end-to-end, from first customer contact to successful delivery.

2. Improving and automating processes. You will analyze current workflows and identify opportunities to:

  • Improve the efficiency and scalability of engagement management

  • Reduce mundane manual work through standardization and tooling

  • Experiment with AI tools and agent-based workflows

  • Where feasible, you will prototype and implement improvements, such as AI-assisted response generation, workflow automations, etc.

Outcome

By the end of the internship, you are expected to:

  • Contribute to 3-5 real customer engagements

  • Deliver improvements to the engagement delivery playbook and knowledge base

  • Provide a structured analysis of process improvement opportunities

  • Prototype at least one automation or AI-assisted workflow

Background

This project will be suited for students in Business/Management, Information Systems, Computer Science or related fields.

Requirements

Must-have

  • Strong interest in project management, operations, or customer-facing roles

  • Excellent written communication skills (English)

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Analytical mindset

  • Proactive attitude and ability to work independently with guidance

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with AI tools and agent-based workflows

  • Experience with tools like Google Docs, Miro, or knowledge bases
