We're looking for a QA Intern to join the Qodana Cloud team for a focused 3-month project: cleaning up and restructuring our test case library, with emphasis on our Acceptance test suite.
Qodana Cloud has grown quickly, and our test management has grown with it - not always neatly. You'll audit existing test cases, relabel them into a consistent hierarchy, link them to YouTrack issues for traceability, identify coverage gaps, and help us build a structure the team can maintain going forward.
The ideal candidate has some prior exposure to software testing (academic, bootcamp, or personal projects are fine), strong attention to detail, and is comfortable working independently on structured, methodical work. You don't need to write much code — this role is about organization, judgment, and coverage analysis. You'll get mentorship from the QA team, real ownership of a visible project, and exposure to JetBrains engineering practices.
What we expect a candidate to have:
Testing fundamentals
Understanding of test levels
Ability to write clear, reproducible test steps another person can follow
Git/GitHub basics (repo management)
CI/CD basic understanding
Docker basic understanding
Basic understanding of one programming language from the following (Java, Kotlin, Python, .NET, Go, JS, PHP)
